Ta Keo is another hike up to get in. This time you won’t
be taking a staircase though, rather it’s more challenging as you will be
climbing up stone stairs with narrow and high steps. Not much to see on
top, so after resting a while and catching some air, we immediately went down.
Ta Prohm is our next temple in the itinerary. This has
become more famous as the Tomb Raider temple, as scenes from the movie were
shot here. The temple’s distinctive feature is the trees that are growing out
of the temples. I believe, scientifically, these species of trees are called as
Tetrameles nudiflora. Kuya Kim mode here. :)
This spot was the most crowded area, as this was the
particular location shown in the movie.
After we were done in Ta Prohm, we headed out to the
restos outside of Angkor Wat to have lunch. Our tour for the day ends with exploring
inside Angkor Wat.
